Coupon Groups

TAU Commerce supports coupons. You can easily create coupons by clicking on Orders -> Coupon groups. Coupons are separated into groups. Each group will define coupon value and its coupons. The coupon gives a certain discount to your customers when shopping. They are divided into groups for better visibility and monitoring. Each group will define a coupon value and its coupon list.

You define coupons by entering a name (description is optional), and then choose whether the coupon will be single or multiple usage. We will explain the difference below.

Multiple involves defining a single multi-purpose coupon and has only one name, which you will define yourself. An unlimited number of clients can use the same. Once you enter the coupon name, it is not possible to change it later.

Single coupon are one-time coupons that can only be use once. groups can also be defined as percent or fixed amount. Each coupon from that group will inherit its coupon group value. Each group should have a prefix defined as it will help you differentiate coupons from one another. Prefix is added to each coupon in format “PREFIX-COUPONCODE”. You need to enter the coupon number you want. After entering all the necessary data, it is necessary to confirm by generating a coupon (by clicking on "generate"), after which the entire list of all coupons will be displayed (picture). You can then pass it on to your potential customers for use.

Please keep in mind that one coupon can be applied to one cart only and the coupon can not bring the total to 0. If a customer changes its cart so that the coupon covers the entire payment coupon will be automatically removed from the cart.

Note: When you have finished creating the coupon, you need to enable the coupons in the Settings -> General. The customer enters the name of the coupon at the checkout, where he enters his data and information on delivery / payment. The coupon is immediately applied with the final price displayed (picture).

Setting the coupon expiration time is not yet enabled, when you want to cancel the use, you need to delete the coupon group.
